Don showed me Madison one of the afternoons we were in Wisconsin. Madison is an isthmus between 2 lakes, Mendota and Monona. We ate lunch overlooking Monona and then walked to the Monona terrace to get some more views of the lake. The Monona terrace and convention center was designed by Wisconsin native Frank Llyod Wright in 1939 but did not pass legislation to be built until 1990. It's cool to see a Wright structure with modern materials.

The terrace is just down the street from the capitol building. The pictures don't do it justice but it was gorgeous. The original capitol building was destroyed in a fire in 1904 and the capitol that stands today was finished in 1915. There are W's all over the architecture making it feel like home for Don and I :).
The pictures by the railing make it look like you're on a ship! It all looks a little different than our trip to Wisconsin when you got married--very nice!
